Don Chamberlin grew up in a family of six where he was the eldest of two younger brothers, Gerry and David, and one sister, Lisa. A favorite memory growing-up was on family vacations in their 1972 Ford Country Squire Wagon. He believed that the character Clark Griswold from National Lampoon’s Family Vacation was based on his father. Don remembers being jammed in their faux wood-paneled station wagon, sitting in the backseat with a map, tracking every mile-of-the-trip. Of course, there was a very large trunk tied to the top of the car roof. They traveled through most of the Midwest, and annually to Florida for baseball spring training.
In his spare time, Don loves working out, watching baseball games, and volunteering. His favorite experience was serving as a guardian for Honor Flight, which takes elderly veterans to Washington D.C. to see the national memorials. Currently, Don and his wife, Susie, enjoy chasing around their three grandsons. For him, spending time with family on vacations, holidays, and gatherings is the most important thing in life. He's been featured as an author of a best-selling book, Crash Proof Wealth, and has contributed in national news publications and local media outlets including Fox 2 News St. Louis, USA Today, Money, U.S News, and St. Louis Post Dispatch.
